This Privacy Policy explains how Feirix (feirix.com) (“Feirix”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and discloses your personal information in connection with the operation of our e-commerce platform.

What information do we collect?

Personal information means data that can be used, directly or indirectly, to identify you. Feirix only collects and uses the information necessary to comply with our legal obligations, support our business management and provide the services you request.

• Identification and contact details: name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address.
• Account data: preferred language, order history, payment methods (tokenized by payment providers).
• Transactional and logistics data: purchased products, amounts, references, shipping tracking.
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, visited pages, cookies and similar identifiers.
• Communication preferences: newsletter subscription and consent history.

Purposes of processing

• Order processing and ensuring your shopping experience (payment, invoicing, shipping, customer support).
• Logistics management with our Partner Distribution Centers and carriers (preparation, shipping and tracking).
• Service communications (order status, confirmations, legal notices).
• Promotional communication (newsletter, campaigns, updates) when a valid legal basis exists (consent or legitimate interest), with the possibility to opt-out at any time.
• Security, fraud prevention and continuous improvement of the website (analytics and metrics).
• Legal compliance (tax, accounting and data protection obligations).

Legal basis for processing

• Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — purchase, payment, shipping and customer support.
• Compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — invoicing, accounting and tax requirements.
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — website security, fraud prevention, essential analytics and similar customer communications (with opt-out).
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — sending newsletters and non-essential cookies/technologies. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your data. You can exercise your rights by writing to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (CNPD — Portugal).

How do we protect your data?

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, including secure servers and SSL encryption. Payment information is processed exclusively by certified providers and is never stored on our servers.

Do we use cookies?

Yes. We use cookies and similar technologies to ensure the website works properly, improve the user experience, collect statistics and, when consented, personalize content and advertising.

• Essential/functional cookies — required for the website and shopping cart to function (do not require consent).
• Analytics cookies — to measure and improve performance (e.g. Google Analytics), subject to consent when required.
• Marketing cookies — for personalization, remarketing and ads (e.g. Meta/Google Ads), subject to consent.

You can manage your preferences through the website’s cookie banner/manager and at any time in your browser (block/delete cookies). Please note that disabling cookies may affect functionality.

Personalisation and recommendations

With your consent (the “Personalisation” option in the cookie notice) we store an anonymous identifier in your browser (cookie fx_vid, 1 year) and record your interactions with the catalogue: products viewed, searches, items added to the cart or wishlist, purchases and clicks on recommendations. We use this data only to suggest products on the site and, if you allow it, by email.

The profile is anonymous: we do not store your IP address and the identifier is not linked to your name until you log in to your account — from then on the profile is associated with the customer so that recommendations follow you across devices.

At any time, in “Cookie settings” (at the bottom of every page), you can switch personalisation off — the anonymous history is then deleted. If you have an account, in “My account › Privacy” you can see what we recorded, switch personalisation off and delete the history; you can also ask for a copy or deletion at [email protected]. Events are deleted automatically after 13 months.

Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We do not sell or share this data with third parties, nor do we make decisions with legal effects based on it.

Cookies used: fx_consent (your choices in the notice, 1 year), fx_vid (personalisation identifier, 1 year, only with consent), fx_sid (anonymous statistics session, 30 minutes), fx_lang (chosen language, 1 year).

Advertising and measurement: Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

Only with your consent (the “Marketing” option in the cookie notice) we use the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, to measure how our ads on Facebook and Instagram perform and to show you, on those networks, products from our catalogue you were interested in.

Data shared with Meta: pages visited, searches, products viewed, added to the cart, checkout started and purchases (product reference, quantity and value), IP address, browser type and the identifiers in the _fbp and _fbc cookies. For a purchase we also send, only in irreversibly encrypted form (SHA-256 hash), your email, phone, name, city, postcode and country, so that Meta can match the purchase to the ad. Each event is sent by your browser and by our server with the same identifier, so it is not counted twice.

Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy rules on cookies). For the collection and transmission of this data, Feirix and Meta are joint controllers (Art. 26 GDPR); any further processing by Meta is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy. Meta may transfer data to the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

You can withdraw consent at any time in “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page: the Pixel stops immediately, the _fbp and _fbc cookies are deleted and our server stops sending events. Without consent, nothing is sent to Meta. Cookies: _fbp (browser identifier, 90 days) and _fbc (ad click, 90 days). Without the “Marketing” option, Google does not use the site’s data for advertising either (Google consent mode).

Do we share information with third parties?

We do not sell or share your personal information for third-party marketing purposes. We only disclose data when necessary and with appropriate safeguards, namely to:

• Partner Distribution Centers (in Portugal, Spain, the EU and outside the EU) and carriers, exclusively for order preparation, shipping and delivery.
• Payment providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal) — to securely process payments.
• IT/hosting and support providers — to operate and maintain the site and services.
• Communication/marketing platforms — sending transactional emails and newsletters (with opt-out).
• Analytics services — website metrics and performance.
• Authorities — when required by law.

Data retention

• Account and order history: while the account is active and for the period necessary for warranties, support and legitimate interests (usually up to 5 years after the last relevant interaction).
• Billing data: for the legally required period (up to 10 years, under tax and accounting law).
• Marketing communications: until you withdraw consent/opt-out or after an inactivity period defined in our internal practices.
• Cookies and analytics: as defined in the cookie policy/manager and your browser settings.
