Technical Specifications

• The MC220L is a media converter designed to convert from 1000BASE-SX/LX/LH fiber media to 1000Base-T copper, or vice versa. Designed under the IEEE802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE802.3z 1000Base-SX/LX/LH standards, the MC220L is intended for use with multi-mode/single-mode fiber cables using SC/LC connectors. It operates at 850 nm for data transmission and reception with multi-mode fiber and 1310 nm for data transmission and reception with single-mode fiber.
• Other features of this module include the ability to be used as a standalone device (does not require a chassis) or with the 19” TP-LINK system chassis, Auto MDI/MDI-X for the TX port, and front panel status LEDs. The MC220L will transmit over extended distances of optical fiber using multi-mode fiber up to 0.55 kilometers and 10 kilometers when using single-mode optical fiber.
